Where to start? OK let me start with the staff - friendly, knowledgeable, professional and engaged. We couldn’t have asked for more. When you meet people who clearly enjoy what they’re doing and are proud to represent the restaurant offering, you know you are somewhere special. And we were. A special shout out to Anna :) Now, the food. Oh my. Just gorgeous. I’m not going to recount the whole meal here but suffice to say, there was an ingenious blend of well thought-through dishes - distinct flavours, textures and most of all fresh and locally sourced ingredients. There’s no real division between ‘starters’ and ‘main courses’. Instead, order many dishes, share and eat slow. I will say this though, we tried a fortified cider with the cheese at the end of the meal. Tasted like tart tatin. Goodnight.
